Tour overview
A compact round trip from Marrakech to the Sahara and back. Day one crosses the High Atlas to Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades Valley; day two continues through the Todra Gorge to Merzouga for a camel ride at sunset and a night in a Berber camp with drum music. You return to Marrakech through Alnif, Tazzarine and the Draa Valley, and visit the Majorelle Garden on the last morning.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech for the Dades Valley via the High Atlas, with a break to admire the mountain panorama. Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous as a backdrop for many films, and have lunch there. Continue past historic monuments such as the Taourirt kasbah in Ouarzazate and the small Berber villages of Skoura and Kelaat M’Gouna to the Dades Valley, the last stop of the day.
Overnight: Dades Valley
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, drive to Merzouga past Berber villages scattered along the road, through the Todra Gorge, Tinghir, Tinejdad, Jorf and Erfoud. After a short rest at a hotel in Merzouga, set off on camels through the dunes, a great moment for sunset photos. At camp, leave the camels and walk up the highest dunes to watch the sun go down. The night is spent in a Berber camp with drum music in the middle of the Sahara.
Overnight: Merzouga – Berber nomad tent camp
Day 3: Merzouga – Alnif – Tazzarine – N’Kob – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake before sunrise to climb the dunes for fantastic photos. Return to the hotel in the village for a shower and breakfast, then drive back to Marrakech via Alnif, Tazzarine, N’Kob, the Draa Valley and Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas again. Arrival at your hotel in Marrakech.
Overnight: Marrakech
Day 4: Marrakech
After breakfast, visit the Majorelle Garden, then transfer to the airport according to your flight time.
