Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Fez – Imouzzer Kandar – Dayet Aoua – Ifrane – Azrou – Fez
Pick-up at your hotel in Fez for a drive through beautiful mountain scenery and small Berber villages. The first stop is Imouzzer Kandar, a small town in the Atlas known for its springs, where you have a typical Berber breakfast and explore the surroundings. Next is Dayet Aoua, one of Morocco’s best-known lakes, surrounded by wet meadows and forests of holm oak and cedar. Continue to Ifrane, the charming alpine town known as “La Petite Suisse Marocaine”, to stroll its flower-lined streets and admire its European-style architecture. Then reach Azrou, set among wooded hills beside the volcanic rock that gives the town its name. Visit the famous Gouraud cedar and walk through the protected cedar forest to enjoy its cool calm and watch the monkeys leaping through the trees. Drop-off at your hotel or riad in Fez at the end of the day.
