We will take you to a remarkable destination hidden between the high mountains of the Middle Atlas. Your day trip from Fez to the Middle Atlas begins by picking you up at your hotel in Fez, Morocco’s oldest city, and takes you through the most captivating views of the beautiful mountains and charming little Berber villages.
The first stop of our excursion to the Middle Atlas would be Immouzer, the small tourist town and one of the largest water sources in Morocco, built by the French on the Atlas mountain ranges. We would have some time in the small Berber town to have our typical Berber breakfast and explore the beautiful nature, discovering the impressive Berber culture. Afterwards, we will stop at Dait Aoua, the most famous lake in Morocco surrounded by a razor-sharp wet grassland and forest massifs of holm oak and cedar.
Then we will continue our excursion to the Middle Atlas, to Ifrane, a charming alpine village, known as “La Petite Suisse Marocaine”, where you will cross flower-lined alleys and admire the French-style architecture of this picturesque little town.
We will then move on to Azrou, the town bordered by rugged wooded hills and a volcanic outcrop from which it also takes its name; you would certainly be amazed by this superb relaxing getaway in Fez.
We’ll start by visiting Morocco’s oldest and largest cedar, the famous “Cèdre Gouraud”. Then we will take you through the preserved forest of Moroccan cedars, to enjoy the coolness and calm of this beautiful region and get a closer look at the monkeys jumping and swinging through the trees.
At the end of your visit, you will be dropped off at your hotel or Riad in Fez.
