Tour overview
Ten days to see Morocco’s highlights at an unhurried pace. From Casablanca and Rabat you pass through blue Chefchaouen to Fez for a full guided day in the medina. You then cross the Atlas to Merzouga for two nights in the Sahara, with camel rides at sunrise and sunset and a day exploring the desert’s villages. The return runs through the Todra Gorge, Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech, where a guided tour is followed by a free day.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat
Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you to the Hassan II Mosque. You then continue to Rabat, Morocco’s administrative and political capital, and check in to your hotel.
Overnight: Rabat
Day 2: Rabat – Chefchaouen – Fez
After breakfast, tour Rabat’s Kasbah of the Udayas and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. After lunch, drive to Chefchaouen, the “blue city” in the Rif Mountains, for a stroll through its lanes. Continue to Fez, arriving at your hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Fez (guided tour)
Spend the day exploring the old medina of Fez on foot with an English-speaking guide: the medina, Bab Boujloud and the tanneries in the morning, the Bou Inania madrasa, Moorish architecture and the Nejjarine quarter in the afternoon. This is a full day of walking, so wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga (Sahara)
After breakfast, cross the Atlas Mountains towards Merzouga, stopping in Ifrane, the mountain resort of the Middle Atlas. Lunch in Midelt, then follow the Ziz River to Erfoud, with a stop in the Ziz Gorges on the way to the Merzouga dunes. Tonight you stay in a nomad-style tent and enjoy Berber music and local food.

Day 5: Merzouga (Sahara)
Ride a camel at dawn to watch the sunrise, then return to camp for breakfast. Your driver then shows you around the desert: oases, the village of Khamlia and old mines where Berber nomads live. Lunch is a Berber pizza. Free time at the hotel in the afternoon to enjoy the Sahara. In the evening, a second camel ride takes you into the dunes for sunset, then back to the hotel for dinner.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, drive via Erfoud to the Todra Gorge, a renowned rock-climbing spot, and walk beneath its towering cliffs. After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate. Dinner at your hotel or riad.
Overnight: Ouarzazate
Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, leave for Marrakech. You see Ouarzazate, the setting for many famous films, and visit the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before crossing the High Atlas. Afternoon arrival at your riad in Marrakech.
Overnight: Marrakech
Day 8: Marrakech (guided tour)
After breakfast, a guided tour of Marrakech: the Koutoubia, the Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace in the morning; the souks, the medina and Jemaa el-Fna square in the afternoon. Much of the day is on foot, so wear comfortable shoes.

Day 9: Marrakech (free day)
A free day after breakfast. An optional day trip to Essaouira or the surroundings of Marrakech can be arranged.

Day 10: Marrakech – Casablanca Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca.
